There’s nothing quite like the burn you get when you step into a reformer Pilates class. You might hobble away with shaky legs having worked muscles you didn’t even know existed. It’s true, that post-reformer feeling is hard to replicate, but there are some exercises you can do with no equipment at all that come pretty close.Â
Working with a reformer challenges stability through your lower body and core, particularly when you’re working with lighter springs. In this workout with CorePlus instructor Lexie, you’ll work through curtesy lunges, squats and calf raises, testing out your balance and ankle stability, while challenging through your glutes. You’ll also work through a series of movements to strengthen through the upper body, back and core, just using body weight for exercises that you might see on the reformer.Â
